Patrick Bialdyga

Patrick Bialdyga (* 1971 in Krefeld ) is a German theater director .

Life

Bialdyga studied German , art history and education at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . Between 1996 and 2004 he was employed as an assistant director and evening director at the Dortmund Opera. Since 2004 he has worked as a freelance director at the Dortmund Theater , the Neuköllner Oper in Berlin , the Erfurt Theater , the Heidenheim Opera Festival , the Landestheater Neustrelitz and in Seoul and Kwangju in South Korea (including La Bohème , Die Zauberflöte and Don Giovanni ). Since 2007 he has also been the course and production manager of the international opera course of the Jeunesses Musicales / Junge Oper Schloss Weikersheim . In 2010 he took over the artistic direction of the European singing competition DEBUT .
