Patrick Boyle (writer)

Patrick Boyle (* 1905 in Ballymoney , Northern Ireland , † 1982 ) was a Northern Irish author.

Life

Born the son of a lawyer , he attended the Ursuline Convent School in Coleraine and the Coleraine Academical Institution. Boyle then worked initially as a bank clerk and later as a bank manager.

He wrote a novel and short stories. In 1965 he received the Irish Times Literary Award . Boyle was a member of the Irish Academy of Letters .
