Karlheinz Weber (* 1934 in Zell im Wiesental ) is a German correspondence chess player .

Life

Karlheinz Weber grew up in Partenkirchen, Upper Bavaria . His last job was as headmaster of the Franz-Marc-Gymnasium in Markt Schwaben . He lives in Dornach .

Correspondence chess

In 1998 the International Correspondence Chess Federation (ICCF) awarded him the title of International Master in Correspondence Chess (IM) retrospectively for 1995 . He achieved the standards for this at the European Championship in 1994/98, in which he finished third behind Manfred Hafner and Helmut John , and at a standards tournament from 1995 to 1998, which he won. His highest Elo rating he had in correspondence chess with 2,452 in 1996. Karlheinz Weber won various correspondence chess tournaments, including 11 Dr.- Fritz Baumbach -Pokal 2011/12 William J. Brinkmann . For the German national team, for example, he played against Ukraine in 2008/10, against Russia and Peru in 2011, against Italy in 2012 and against the United States in 2014.
