Patrick Dreier (* 1964 in Appenweier ) is a German trumpeter, baroque trumpeter and conductor.

Dreier studied with Erden Bilgen at the Freiburg University of Music and at the Cologne University of Music with Adam Bauer and Stanko Selak . Initially lecturer for trumpet at the Freiburg University of Education . Currently in Cologne as a freelance musician with engagements at the Cologne Opera , the Cologne Young Philharmonic, the Cologne Symphony Orchestra, the MDR Symphony Orchestra and the Starlight Express Bochum musical . Dreier also played as solo trumpeter with the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic , the Bonn Classical Philharmonic , at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the symphony orchestra of the Düsseldorf Old Town. In addition to the classical trumpet, Dreier's activity today focuses on the baroque / natural trumpet and historical performance practice as a whole. Since 1994 member of the New Rhenish Chamber Orchestra Cologne and the Bremen Baroque Orchestra Les Enchantants. He is the director and member of the cathedral brass section of the High Cathedral in Cologne ; outside of the sacred area, the formation operates as Cologne Brass.
