Patrick Geiger (born November 16, 1989 in Deggendorf ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with Deggendorf Fire from the Oberliga Süd since summer 2011 .

Career

Geiger comes from the offspring of Deggendorfer SC . He later moved to the Adler Mannheim youth organization , where he was active for the junior team in the German youth league from 2004 . In the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons he was able to win the DNL championship with the young eagles. During the 2006/07 season he played six games with the cooperation partner of Adler Mannheim, the Heilbronner Falken , in the major league . He did not score a scorer point and received four penalty minutes.

In the summer of 2007, the offensive player joined the Eisbären Juniors Berlin from the Oberliga Nord. With the Juniors he was able to achieve relegation and completed 57 league games in which he was able to score 22 times. At the beginning of January 2009, the now 19-year-old signed a contract with Schwenninger Wild Wings, where he made 18 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga. Geiger retired with his new club in the play-off qualification with 0: 2 defeats against the Fischtown Pinguins . The right-shooter was used in both games, but could not achieve any scorer points.

Patrick Geiger initially had a contract in Villingen-Schwenningen until 2010, which was later extended until the end of the 2010/11 season. In the summer of 2011 he left the Wild Wings and returned to his home club Deggendorf Fire in the major league.
