Patrick Renz

Patrick S. Renz-Mehr (* 1965 ) is a Swiss manager and economist . Since 2017 he has been the national director of migratio , the office of the Swiss Bishops' Conference for the pastoral care of migrants and people on the move.

Life

Patrick Renz studied industrial computer science and business administration at the University of Zurich and in 2006 at the HSG in St. Gallen with a thesis on Project Governance - Implementing Corporate Governance and Business Ethics in Nonprofit Organizations for Dr. oec. PhD. He worked for the consumer goods group Procter & Gamble for over ten years and later became managing director of international IT and consulting companies. Since 2004 he has been involved in development cooperation and for nonprofit companies and became a member of the foundation board of the Catholic aid organization Fastenopfer in 2011 and director of Fastenopfer from 2014 to 2016. Since 2006 he has been Professor of Management, Governance, Organizational Ethics and Project Management at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences as well as visiting professor at the University of St. Gallen , University of Basel and the Colombian Universidad EAFIT . He is a member of various advisory boards and supervisory bodies as well as the founder of the Aid Governance Foundation .

In 2017 he was appointed National Director migratio by the Swiss Bishops' Conference (SBK) .

Renz speaks six languages ​​and lives with his family in Hitzkirch and is the father of two children.
