Patrick Zbinden

Patrick Zbinden (born January 25, 1966 in Zurich ) is a Swiss food sensory specialist and food journalist BR. After compulsory schooling, he completed an apprenticeship as a machine mechanic . This was followed by further training at a business school and attendance at a management training course. In 1992 he started the seminar for home teachers of the Canton of Zurich in Pfäffikon. He then trained as a nutrition trainer , journalist and qualified sensory specialist . He is specially trained as a sensory expert according to DIN standards for spices and flavors.

Life

From 1998 to 2011, Patrick Zbinden presented the cooking section with Patrick Zbinden once a week on Swiss radio DRS3 . Since 2005 he has been working as a sensory specialist in the implementation of food tastings for the consumer show Kassensturz on Swiss television SRF 1 . He has been responsible for the organization, implementation and journalistic preparation of the food tastings for the Ringier Verlag's al dente magazine since 2012. He also publishes specialist articles and interviews in print media such as Marmite , Handelszeitung , Cigar , Bossi , Bolero Men , Tages-Anzeiger , SonntagsZeitung and Falstaff . His columns appear regularly in the Hotellerie Gastronomie Zeitung and in the Richemont Fachblatt. The GastroSuisse association teaches the culinary and food competence module within the G2 gastro operations manager seminar . He heads the food design seminar at the Swiss Hotel Management School Lucerne SHL . As part of his activities, he is responsible as a driving force behind various innovations in the food sector. Among other things, he developed the Ghent drink .
