Patrik Gedeon (born July 19, 1975 in Chomutov ) is a Czech football player .
Club career
Patrik Gedeon played for TJ VTŽ Chomutov in his youth . In 1994 he moved to VTY Karlovy Vary for six months to do his military service there and then returned to Chomutov .
In 1995 the midfielder was signed by the then second division club Chmel Blšany , whom he helped to move up to the first division in 1998. In Blšany Gedeon was one of the top performers. In the 2000/01 season he scored seven goals in 28 games, after which he was signed by Slavia Prague for 12 million crowns . Gedeon was also one of the best players there and was used on November 20, 2003 for the first time in the Czech national team .
In the 2003/04 season he tore a cruciate ligament and only had six missions. As a result, he could no longer build on his old form and moved to FC Vaduz in the Challenge League . In the summer of 2006 Gedeon was signed on loan from the Polish first division club Wisła Płock . In September 2007, he dissolved his contract and joined his former club Chmel Blšany , which now plays in the third Czech division. On February 15, 2008 Gedeon moved to FK Siad Most in the Gambrinus League . In the summer of 2008 Gedeon was about to move to FK Viktoria Žižkov , but then went to the second division club FK Dukla Prague . At Dukla, the veteran is one of the leading players, in two years he made 51 appearances in which he scored one goal.
National team
Patrik Gedeon played in three friendly matches for the Czech national team: on November 20, 2002 in a 3: 3 against Sweden in Teplice , on February 12, 2003 in a 2: 0 against France in Paris and on April 30, 2003 in a 4: 0 against the Turkey in Teplice.
