Baník Most is a Czech football club from the North Bohemian city of Most (Brüx) .
Club history
The association was founded on May 19, 1909 as SK Most. The SK Most never got beyond regional competitions. In 1962, as Baník Most, they were promoted to the second division, and in 1965, third place was the greatest success in the club's history. In 1977 the fall came to the 4th division, promotion to the third highest division was achieved in 1981.
In 1996, the local coal works Mostecká uhelná společnost (MUS) took over the club, which was promoted to the second division in the 1996/97 season and was sixth in 1997/98. After further midfield placements, 2004/05 succeeded sovereign promotion to the Gambrinus League . In 2003 the Italian gas company SIAD took over the majority in the club and invested in the team.
In the 2007/08 season, Most rose from the bottom of the table from the Gambrinus League in the second-highest Czech league. On July 1, 2008, the club changed its name to FK Baník Most. In 2015, the next relegation to the third division followed .
Club names
Established in 1909 as SK Most. From 1948 the association was called ZSJ Uhlomost Most. Further renaming was made in 1953 to DSO Baník Most, 1961 to TJ Baník Most, 1979 to TJ Baník SHD Most, 1993 to FK Baník SHD Most, 1995 to FK MUS Most, 1996 to FC MUS Most 1996 as, 2003 to FK SIAD Most as and in 2008 in FK Baník Most.
