Patrik Gisel

Patrik Gisel (* 1962 ) is a Swiss bank manager . From 2015 to 2018 he was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Raiffeisen Group .

Life

Patrik Gisel studied business administration at the University of St. Gallen , the licentiate he finished 1,988th The doctorate to Dr. oec. took place in 1992.

From 1987 to 1993 Gisel was an assistant and lecturer at the University of St.Gallen. From 1987 to 1993 he was group leader “IT development finance” at the Swiss Bank Corporation . After a brief interlude at the Boston Consulting Group as a consultant, he was head of the IT department at the Swiss Bank Corporation from 1994 to 1999 . Gisel was with Raiffeisen Switzerland from 2000, where he headed the “Corporate Development, Finance and IT” department until 2004 and the “Market” department from 2005 to 2015. From 2002 until his appointment as CEO in 2015, he was also Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board.

Gisel became Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Raiffeisen Group on October 1, 2015 . As part of the "Vincenz affair", in which the ex-boss of the Raiffeisen Group Pierin Vincenz was accused of improper business management, Gisel announced his resignation at the end of the year on July 18, 2018.
