Patroclus Church (Kirchhörde)
The Patroclus Church is a Protestant church in the Kirchhörde district of Dortmund .
history
The first church building in Kirchhörde is dated to the 10th century. Between the years 964 and 1189 there was a chapel dedicated to Saint Patroclus here . His relics were transferred from Troyes to Soest in 964 . Presumably, a stop was made in Kirchhörde during this overpass.
A successor building was built between 1789 and 1807. The architectural model here was the Reinoldikirche , whose branch church was the Patroclus Church for a long time. That is why the church is popularly referred to as Klein-Reinoldi .
The Archbishop of Cologne granted the independent baptismal and burial rights as early as 1189 . The final separation from St. Reinoldi took place in 1655.

The church's oldest art treasure is a baptismal font from 1540. The church's pulpit dates from 1807.
The church is surrounded by a small churchyard with older gravestones, mainly from the 18th century, but also some newer grave sites. With its churchyard, gravestones and walls, it is entered as an architectural monument in the city of Dortmund's list of monuments.
The chime consists of two cast steel bells, cast in 1922 and tuned to ges 'and b'.
