Paul Émile Chabas
Paul Émile Joseph Chabas (born March 7, 1869 in Nantes , † May 10, 1937 in Paris ) was a French painter .
Life
Paul Émile Chabas studied at the Académie des Beaux-Arts under William Adolphe Bouguereau and Tony Robert-Fleury . In the later years he traveled frequently to Norway , Algeria and Greece . His favorite subjects were young naked girls in a natural setting, his most famous picture is the September Morning . His works are often referred to as kitsch .
