Paul Baethcke

Paul Adolf Theodor Baethcke (* 1850 in Reckenthin , † 1936 in Georgenthal ) was a German Protestant pastor and local researcher .

Baethcke came from Prignitz and, after studying theology, was pastor of Schwarzhausen from 1877 to 1890 before he went to Georgenthal as pastor . From 1892 he devoted himself to the systematic excavation of the ruins of the Cistercian monastery Georgenthal . The Georgenthal community named a street after him.
