Paul Brandt (Mayor)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paul Brandt (* around 1753; † after 1791) was a Prussian lawyer and mayor of Köslin .

He studied law at the University of Frankfurt (Oder) . Around 1774 he became a trainee lawyer and secretary at the Pomeranian War and Domain Chamber in Stettin . In 1776 he became mayor ("Dirigens des Magistrats") of the city of Köslin .

In 1787 he married for the second time. Since he saw better opportunities for his wife in the Mecklenburg homeland, he left his job in Köslin and went to Mecklenburg. But nothing came of the plans. He then acquired the Buckow leasehold in the Beeskow-Storkowschen Kreis in the Kurmark, worked temporarily in the field war commissariat in 1790 and tried in vain for an office in the excise administration in 1791.
