Paul Carl Leygebe
Paul Carl Leygebe , also Paul Karl Leygebe , (* 1664 in Nuremberg ; † 1756 in Berlin ) was a German painter and professor of anatomy at the Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin.
biography
Leygebe was Gottfried Leygebe's second son and moved to Berlin with his father in 1668. From 1699 to 1756 he was a member of the Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin. From 1715 to 1755 he worked as a teacher and professor of anatomy.
He created large paintings depicting Elector Friedrich Wilhelm von Brandenburg and the Prussian kings Friedrich Wilhelm I and Friedrich II . He lived in Berlin until 1730.
