Paul Carter (born September 23, 1963 in Kent ) is a former English squash player and current trainer.

Career

Paul Carter was active as a squash player from 1983 to 1992 and reached 17th place in the world rankings. With the English national team , he took part in the European Championship in 1989 and 1990 . The team won the title both times. He came to a total of 24 missions for England.

Between 1987 and 1991 Paul Carter was three times in the main field of the individual world championship . His best performance was reaching the quarter-finals in 1990 . He was clearly defeated by Chris Dittmar in three sentences. In 1988 he won the British championship.

After the end of his career, he began various coaching activities in 1993, including as assistant coach for the English squash association. He was responsible for the men's and women's teams at four world championships each, at eleven European championships in a row and twice at the Commonwealth Games . Today he works for the English association as Head of Coach Development .
