Paul Gülker

Paul Gülker (born January 13, 1892 in Cologne , † August 1, 1979 ) was a German insurance manager.

Life

Paul Gülker, son from the marriage of Karl Gülker, director at Colonia, and Klara, geb. Kellinghausen, attended the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Cologne. At the Universities of Freiburg , Munich and Bonn , he studied law and in 1921 at the University of Cologne with the work The exclusion of a member of an unincorporated association under German law, taking account of the Swiss, Austrian, French and English law to Dr. iur. PhD.

From 1921 to 1962 he worked for Colonia Kölnische Versicherungs-AG , from 1934 its member of the board and from 1953 director general . He was chairman and honorary chairman of the Association of Liability, Accident and Vehicle Insurers eV (HUK) .

He held numerous supervisory and administrative board mandates. He was a member of the Roman Institute of the Goerres Society . In 1949 he was a board member in North Rhine-Westphalia of the Europa-Union Deutschland .

In 1956 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Nicola Cardinal Canali and invested on December 8, 1956 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .

He was married to Stephanie born in 1921. Crooks. The marriage had two children.
