Paul Hartnoll

Paul Hartnoll (born May 19, 1968 in Dartford , Kent ) is a British musician. He became known with the Orbital studio project , which he launched in 1987 together with his brother Phil Hartnoll (* 1965).

In the early 1990s, the band advanced to become one of the most popular bands in the field of electronic music, especially in their home country. After the production of seven albums, they both decided in 2004 to stop working together.

In the same year Hartnoll began working on his solo career. He turned away from his earlier works and used conventional instruments in his songs for the first time. In December 2006 Rough Trade released Guilt Hartnoll's first single under the title Patchwork . The second single was created in collaboration with Robert Smith , the singer of the band The Cure .
