Paul Heinrich Trummer (Lawyer)
Paul Heinrich Trummer (* 1722 in Königsberg ; † September 11, 1808 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) was a German lawyer and mayor .
Life
Paul Heinrich Trummer was the son of a Königsberg merchant. At the age of 14 he began studying law in his hometown. At the age of 17 he became Royal Secretary of the Government. From 1740 to 1742 Trummer took part in the First Silesian War as quartermaster in the Schorlemmer Dragoon Regiment.
In 1746, Trummer was given the office of mayor of justice in Frankfurt (Oder), and 11 years later he became mayor of economics. His tasks also included the maintenance work on the dikes on the Oder .
After the death of the mayor Johann Samuel Ungnad (1710–1779) Trummer was his successor. After the Dammvorstadt was flooded during the spring flood of 1785 , Trummer was accused of mistakes in dike maintenance.
The merits of Trummer lie in the further development of the suburbs of Frankfurt. He died after 63 years of service and was buried in his family's hereditary funeral in the Marienkirche in Frankfurt (Oder) .
