Paul Hellerman is an American film producer .

Life

Paul Hellerman began his career as a stage manager for off-Broadway theaters . His first film Endeavor was a short film that he produced with the American Film Institute. The Vietnam War drama The Silence was nominated for an Oscar in 1983 .

Hellerman worked for TAT Film Productions in the 1980s . After leaving the company, he started his production management career in the 1990s with Gus Van Sant's My Private Idaho for New Line Cinema , and Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs - Wild Dogs and Pulp Fiction, among others independent projects for Miramax Films .

Hellerman received an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award in 2003 for the Showtime film Bang, Bang, You're Dead .
