Paul Hermreck

Paul Hermreck (born August 17, 1956 in Verl ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2004 to 2015 he was mayor of the East Westphalian city ​​of Verl.

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Rietberg in 1976 , Hermreck completed an apprenticeship as an insurance salesman at the Provinzial Versicherung in Münster .

In September 1979 he took over the office of the Westphalian Provincial Insurance in Verl from his father. As an independent insurance expert will be up to his election as mayor.

From 2004 he was the incumbent mayor of the city of Verl. On December 30, 2014, he publicly renounced another candidacy for the CDU for the 2015 local elections. On March 26, 2015, it was announced that Hermreck would run as an independent candidate.

Paul Hermreck was not re-elected as mayor of the city of Verl on September 13, 2015. He lost to the CDU candidate Michael Esken in the runoff election .

Paul Hermreck is married and has two sons.

Political party

Hermreck joined the Junge Union and has been a member of the CDU since 1975.
