Paul Hesselbach

Paul Hesselbach (born July 6, 1951 in Nuremberg ) is a German soccer coach and former player .

The goalkeeper Paul Hesselbach played for TSV 1883 Johannis Nürnberg (until 1961), 1. FC Nürnberg (1961–1973), 1. FC Amberg (1973–1976), Bayer 05 Uerdingen (1976–1982), TuS Schloß Neuhaus (1982 ), Borussia Mönchengladbach (1983), Stuttgarter Kickers (1983–1985) and ASV Herzogenaurach (1985–1987). He played 72 times in the Bundesliga and 143 times in the 2nd Bundesliga. He coached SpVgg Fürth (1987–1989), VfL Frohnlach (1989), SpVgg Bayreuth (1990–1991), TSV Vestenbergsgreuth (1991–1993), again TSV Vestenbergsgreuth (1994–1996), SpVgg Greuther Fürth (2000 and 2001) , where he was assistant coach from 1997 to 2001. From October 2006 to June 2007 he trained the SG Quelle Fürth .

As a coach, Hesselbach and his team defeated FC Bayern Munich 1-0 in the cup competition on August 14, 1994.

Paul Hesselbach is currently again employed by SpVgg Greuther Fürth as a full-time sifter.
