Paul Knox

Paul Patrick Knox (born November 23, 1933 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League from 1950 to 1959 .

Career

Paul Knox began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with the Toronto St. Michael's Majors, for whom he was active from 1950 to 1954 in the Junior Ontario Hockey Association. He then attended the University of Toronto , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel to his studies. During the 1954/55 season he also came to a single use for the Toronto Maple Leafs from the National Hockey League , in which he remained pointless and punished. For the 1955/56 season he joined the amateur team Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen from the Senior Ontario Hockey Association, with whom he represented Canada at the 1956 Winter Olympics. He stayed with the Dutchmen for another three years before ending his career in 1959 at the age of 25.

International

For Canada , Knox took part in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , where he and his team won the bronze medal.
