Paul Koller

Paul Koller (born October 12, 1889 in Sankt Margarethen in Burgenland , † October 21, 1950 in Eisenstadt ) was an Austrian civil servant and politician ( SPÖ or KPÖ ). Koller was married and a member of the Federal Council from 1930 to 1934 .

Paul Koller was born as the son of the small farmer Karl Koller from Sankt Margarethen. He attended elementary school and then worked as a professional soldier or building manager in the Eisenstadt barracks. From 1931 Koller was head of the office of the construction company Dipl. Ing. A. Vogl in Eisenstadt .

Koller was mayor of the free city of Eisenstadt between 1925 and 1929 and was vice mayor from 1930 to 1934. He was a member of the state party executive and was a member of the Bundesrat between December 10, 1930 and February 17, 1934 ( fourth legislative period ). As a result of the Austrian Civil War , he lost his political offices.

In 1938 he joined the KPÖ, for which he again served as Vice Mayor of Eisenstadt from 1945 to 1950 (and at the same time as head of the Housing Office). Until 1948 he was also a member of the state management of the KPÖ Burgenland.
