Paul Mutzner

Paul Mutzner (born May 5, 1881 in Chur ; † July 17, 1949 in Zurich ) was a Swiss legal scholar .

Life

The son of Christian, master locksmith, and Paulina geb. Sievert, studied in Lausanne , Leipzig and Bern (among others with Eugen Huber ). In 1907 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD. From 1908 to 1918 he worked in the Swiss federal administration . From 1913 he was a private lecturer , from 1916 a part-time associate professor in Bern. From 1918 to 1939 he was a full professor of legal history and private law at the University of Zurich . He resigned for health reasons.
