Paul Querengässer

Paul Querengässer (born February 22, 1869 in Bahren ; † after 1932) was a German farmer , landowner and politician ( DNVP , CNBL ).

Life

Querengässer was born the son of a landowner. After graduating from primary school, he attended the agricultural school in Pößneck from 1885 to 1886 . From 1888 to 1891 he did military service with the Thuringian Hussar Regiment No. 12 . He later took over the management of the family-owned estate in Bahren since 1662. In addition to his professional activity as a farmer, he was a member of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Province of Saxony as well as a district farmer , chairman of the agricultural district council and chairman of the district association of agricultural cooperatives in the district of Ziegenrück .

From 1893 to 1918 Querengässer was the head of the Bahren community and a member of the district council of the district of Ziegenrück. After the First World War he joined the German National People's Party (DNVP), for which he was elected in December 1924 as a member of the Prussian state parliament. In 1930 he switched to the Christian National Peasant and Rural People's Party (CNBL). Since July 30, 1930 he was a member of the German parliamentary group and since February 11, 1932 a non-attached MP. At the end of the third legislative term in 1932, he left parliament. In the state parliament he was a representative of constituency 12 (Erfurt).
