Paul Riessler

Paul Rießler (born September 16, 1865 in Stuttgart , † September 16, 1935 in Tübingen ) was a well-known German orientalist , theologian and Bible translator . From 1907 he was professor for Old Testament Bible Exegesis at the University of Tübingen .

Rießler is the author of a number of widely recognized books, including Old Jewish Literature Outside the Bible (1928). His first translation of the Old Testament was published in 1924.
