Paul Rodriguez Jr. (also known as P-Rod , born December 31, 1984 in Los Angeles ) is a Mexican - American skateboarder .

Life

Rodriguez was born the son of actor and comedian Paul Rodriguez . He started skating in 1996. Three years later, Rodriguez finally made the decision to build a future as a professional skater and convinced his parents of this decision. He received a sponsorship deal with the skateboard manufacturer Plan B Skateboards and won a bronze medal at the 2003 X Games .

Since 2005 Paul Rodriguez has been sponsored by the sporting goods manufacturer Nike . The company also produces shoe models with Rodriguez's name.

Rodriguez officially rides in the Goofy foot position, but is known to ride Switch just as often and well, i.e. Regular. His pastimes include boxing and golf . He is also Christian and has a Jesus tattoo on his arm. Rodriguez was a team member at Plan B Skateboards but now has his own company called Primitive. He lives in Los Angeles.

He also appears as a playable character in some of the Tony Hawk's Skateboarding games and EA Skate .
