The Glückssonne colliery is a former hard coal mine in Dahlhausen . The colliery was also known under the names Zeche Glück-Sonne and Zeche Glücksonne .

Mining history

On September 7th, 1770, the prospect for the mine field was put in, and at the same time the prospect was applied for the right to an inheritance tunnel by the mining company Spennemann. The Erbstollen this year was already in the excavation , the Stollenmundloch was located south of today's Lewackerstraße the Dahlhauser mill. In the years 1805, 1810 and 1815 there was evidence of mining. Already before 1816 there was partial consolidation with the Besserglück colliery to form the United Besserglück & Glückssonne colliery. In 1816, a 550 Lachter-long tow to the coal storage facility on the Ruhr was built. In the years 1820 to 1825 mining continued. A length field was awarded on August 26, 1826 . In 1830 the colliery was still in operation, the mining capacity of the colliery was 9800 Prussian tons per year. In 1837 12,530½ tons of hard coal were mined. On May 30, 1838, the Glückssonne colliery was closed. On November 22nd, 1857, the Geviertfeld Glück-Sonne was awarded, after which the colliery consolidated into the United Dahlhauser Tiefbau colliery . In 1873 the 700-meter-long former hereditary tunnel was lined and used as a conveyor tunnel by the Friedlicher Nachbar colliery .

The tunnel mouth hole of the former tunnel is still preserved today.
