Paul Schnoeck (born December 19, 1901 in Düsseldorf , † unknown) was a French football player of German origin.

Career

First years in French football (1926–1932)

The defender Schnoeck came to the southern French club Olympique Marseille in 1926 , which was one of the top teams in France despite the lack of a national league. This was particularly evident in the national cup competition, which Olympique had won twice in previous years. With the participation of the German-born player, he also made it into the cup final in 1927 . Schnoeck was on the pitch in the final against US Quevilly and was able to win this title with a 3-0 win for his team. In 1928 he moved to FC Mulhouse from Alsace on the German border . This club remained loyal to over a period of four years. With Mulhouse he reached the qualification for Division 1 , which was introduced in 1932 as the national top division and introduced professional football in France.

Professional in France (1932-1935)

Although he had fought for a place for the new first division with Mulhouse, he changed clubs before they started and returned to Olympique Marseille. The southern French also belonged to the league and Schnoeck was able to make his debut on the first day of the game when he was called up on September 11, 1932 in a 2-1 win against Olympique Lille . In the following time he took a regular place and just missed the championship finals with his teammates, which was only held in the year the league was founded. In the summer of 1933 he left the club and found a new employer in league rivals SC Nîmes . He stayed in his last position in professional football until 1935.
