Paul Weinträger (born February 12, 1867 in Breslau , † November 20, 1939 in Hamburg ) was a trained lathe operator and Hamburg member of parliament and senator ( SPD ).

Weinhub spent his school and apprenticeship as a lathe operator in Breslau. He spent several years on the move and came to Hamburg in 1887. Until 1892 he worked as a metal worker and was a member of the relevant trade association in Hamburg. From 1892 to 1901 he was an employee of the health insurance company of the metal workers' association. From 1902 he was chairman of the consumer cooperative “New Society for the Distribution of Food from 1856” in Hamburg, which he held until 1933. In the meantime, Weinträger also worked as a cigar manufacturer and dealer.

In 1907 Weinträger was elected to the Hamburg parliament for the SPD , to which he belonged until 1931. From March 28, 1919 to March 23, 1921, Weinträger was a member of the Hamburg Senate . He had to give up his office because of a downsizing of the Senate. In 1919 he was active in the following Senate offices and colleges: Committee for the poor, authority for the licensing system, deputation for fire extinguishing, commission for the affairs of the poor associations and as commissioner for the Reichsversicherung.
