Paul von Wunderlich

Paul Karl August Wunderlich , from 1904 by Wunderlich , (born June 17, 1844 in Stetten im Remstal , † February 21, 1930 in Cannstatt ) was a German Lutheran theologian.

family

Paul Wunderlich was the son of the director of the institution in Stetten and later pastor in Pfullingen and Bondorf Reinhold Wunderlich (1808–1879) and Charlotte Karoline Ehrhardt (1818–1888). In 1874 he married Elisabeth Perret (1846–1927), with her he had three children.

job

Wunderlich studied Protestant theology at the University of Tübingen . During his studies in 1862 he became a member of the Roigel fraternity in Tübingen . From 1874 to 1886 he worked as an assistant and district school inspector in Waiblingen and Cannstatt before becoming the second parish priest in Cannstatt in 1887. In 1891 he went to the Evangelical Consistory in Stuttgart as senior consistorial advisor. From 1902 to 1912 he was then prelate and general superintendent of Heilbronn . In 1912 he retired and lived in Cannstatt.

politics

The general superintendents of the Evangelical Church were officially privileged members of the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament . Paul von Wunderlich therefore joined the state parliament after his appointment in Heilbronn. He held the office until 1906.
