content

After the death of her father, 15-year-old Paula moves in with her birth mother Eva, whom she has hardly seen since she was three. Eva now has a new family and lives with them on the large Minkoff stud farm. Paula, who has no connection to horses and has not been interested in them before, feels lost in this new world and dedicates herself to her great passion - ballet.

In addition to disputes, which keep coming up with her new siblings Fee and Finn, Paula also experiences the feeling of first great love and finds new support in the affection for a problem horse called "Morning Star". However, when the young girl, after a visit to the doctor treating Paula's foot after a fracture, learns that her dream of a career as a ballet dancer poses too great a risk to her health, a world collapses for Paula. At the insistence of her new family, she dares to ride a horse and slowly grows together with the new family and equestrian sports. But the shadows of the past keep catching up with her, which is why Paula's former ballet teacher and neighbor Renate Niemann is there to support her.
