The Paulding Bay is a bay on the Banzare coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . The outer area of the bay is occupied by the Moscow University and Vojeikow Ice Shelf .

The American cartographer Gardner Dean Blodgett (* 1925) mapped it in 1955 using aerial photographs taken during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the bay in 1955 after James Kirke Paulding (1778–1860), United States Secretary of the Navy in the cabinet of US President Martin Van Buren , who was involved in equipping the United States Exploring Expedition (1838–1842) under the direction of polar explorer Charles Wilkes was helpful.
