Pauline Füg
Pauline Füg (* 1983 in Leipzig ) is a German author , stage poet and graduate psychologist . In 2011 she received the Bavarian Culture Prize , and in 2015 the Culture Promotion Prize of the City of Würzburg. She lives in Fürth .
Live and act
Pauline Füg grew up in the Nuremberg area after her family had left for West Germany two years before the fall of the Wall . After studying psychology at the University of Eichstätt between 2003 and 2009, she lives in Würzburg. She has been performing at poetry slams since 2003, and her style has shaped the German-speaking spoken word and poetry slam scene. She reached the final of the German-speaking Slam Championships twice (2006/2007). She is the organizer and presenter of various literature and poetry slam programs, for example the Würzburg reading stage Großraumdichten & kleinstadtgeschichten and the U20 Poetry Slam Würzburg. In 2015 she co-organized the Bavarian Poetry Slam Championship in Ingolstadt . They also published in anthologies and literary magazines, is a regular at the reading stage, on poetry slams, in mixed shows, with solo readings and their project bullpen sealed on.
Projects
She has been working closely with Tobias Heyel since 2005, and together they founded the electro poetry project Großraumdichten . Large-scale densities combine spoken word poetry, electronic rhythms and visual representation. They also give workshops together on the subject of “creative writing and stage poetry” as well as teacher training courses on the subject of “implementing poetry slams in the classroom”. Together with Henrikje Stanze, she launched the demenzPoesie project , a form of therapy for memory rehabilitation for people with dementia . In 2010 they both met the American inventor of the Alzpoetry project, Gary Glazner, who trained them in his techniques. Together, Pauline Füg and Henrikje Stanze further developed the project for the German-speaking area. In cooperation with the Dasmaximum museum founded by Heiner Friedrich , the project Word: Pictures was created, which combines the project dementia poetry with art.
Teaching
Pauline Füg gives poetry slam writing workshops. For the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth , she and her colleague Tobias Heyel developed an inclusive workshop concept with the focus on "Migration and intercultural competence" under the motto "Strengthening tolerance, promoting competence". In cooperation with Stellwerck-Verlag, she offers poetry slam workshops in schools on the subject of “Change of perspective - escape and welcoming culture”. With Henrikje Stanze she also gives advanced training on the subject of dementia poetry and regularly conducts group therapy sessions in care facilities.
