Paulo César Rocha Rosa (born January 5, 1980 in São Luís ) is a Brazilian soccer player and is currently under contract with Santa Cruz FC .

Career

César started his career with the football club Vila Nova FC . Then he moved to Portugal. There he played for the clubs Gil Vicente FC , Vitória Guimarães , Rio Ave FC and União Leiria . He made his debut in the Primeira Liga on August 20, 2000 against SC Campomaiorense . In 2003 he had a short stay in Brazil with Grémio Inhumense .

On March 9, 2008, César scored a goal in the 2-2 draw against Benfica Lisbon . After that game, José Antonio Camacho resigned as coach of Benfica Lisbon. In July 2008 he signed a contract with Sporting Braga . On August 23, 2008, when he played against FC Paços de Ferreira , he scored his first goal for Sporting Braga.

In January 2013, César moved to the Brazilian soccer club Santa Cruz FC .
