Pavel Mayer (born March 23, 1965 in Prague ) is a German politician and former member of the Pirate Party . He was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives and economic policy spokesman for the pirate faction as well as a member of the constitution protection committee and the G10 commission of the state of Berlin.

Mayer was born in Prague and came to the Federal Republic of Germany with his parents in 1968. He made his Abitur at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium in Lüdenscheid . There he was a member of the SPD for a short time , studied computer science in Braunschweig for three years and worked as a hardware and software developer. He has lived in Berlin since 1990 . He is one of the co-founders of Datango AG and ART + COM AG . Since 2011, he has been the managing director and majority shareholder of Hoccer GmbH, which emerged from ART + COM AG.

In 2009 he joined the Pirate Party and since 2010 has been entrusted with the duties of general secretary in the Berlin regional association as an assessor on the board . On September 18, 2011 in the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2011 , Pavel Mayer was elected to third place on the state list of the Pirate Party in the Berlin House of Representatives. At the same time, he also ran as a direct candidate for the constituency of Pankow 9 . Three employees of his company were elected with him for the pirates in the House of Representatives. He left the party in 2015 and resigned from parliament in 2016.

Mayer is married and has one daughter.
