Pavel Rubinas

Pavel Rubinas ( lit.Pavelas Rubinas ; born January 27, 1942 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian chess player .

Life

1963 Rubina graduated at Electromechanics - pilot Vilnius . From 1970 he worked as a chess trainer at the Vilnius City Chess and Checkers Sports School. His student was Jelizaveta Potapova , who won the 6th Correspondence Chess Olympiad for women with Lithuania and who holds the title of International Correspondence Chess Champion for women. 1971 Rubinas was runner-up in the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic in close-range chess and reached the semi-finals of the championship of the Soviet Union . In correspondence chess Rubinas became an International Master in 2001, an Honored International Master (SIM) in 2002 and Correspondence Chess Grandmaster in 2010.
