Pavlodarsol ( Russian Павлодарсоль ) is one of the oldest salt producers in Kazakhstan , based in Pavlodar .
Pavlodarsol produces both table salt and technical salt. In 2007 the company produced 16 thousand tons of salt and is therefore the second largest salt producer in Kazakhstan after Araltuz .
Technical salt customers include ArcelorMittal , Kazatomprom , Kazzinc and Kazakhmys . The salt is also exported to Kyrgyzstan and Russia .
In 2006 and 2007 Pavlodarsol had to file for bankruptcy. However, the company was saved from closure and now operates on two salt lakes in the Pavlodar region .
