Pawel Georgijewitsch Petrow ( Russian Павел Георгиевич Петров ; born March 4, 1995 in Staraja , Leningrad Oblast ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Petrow started in Krasnogorsk in December 2013 in the Eastern Europe Cup cross-country skiing and came in 150th place over 15 km classic and 70th place in sprint. The following year he was third in the sprint at the Russian Junior Championships in Syktywkar . In the 2015/16 season in Vershina Tjoi achieved his first top ten placements in the Eastern Europe Cup with places seven and five in the sprint and finished 24th in the overall standings at the end of the season. He made his debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in Pyeongchang in February 2017 . He got his first World Cup points with 11th place in the sprint.
