Pavel Mikhailovich Kamosin
Pawel Michailowitsch Kamosin ( Russian Павел Михайлович Камозин , born July 3, 1917 in Beshiza (now part of Bryansk ), Oryol Governorate ; † November 24, 1983 ) was a Soviet fighter pilot .
Life
Kamosin was the son of a Russian worker. He worked as a locksmith in the “Krassni Profintern” plant. At the same time he was a member of a DOSAAF flying club . In 1938 he graduated from the Borisoglebsk military aviation school and worked as a flight instructor . From October 1942 he fought in the German-Soviet War . He scored 35 aerial victories and 13 more in the group.
In 1946 he was demobilized for health reasons and worked in civil aviation and in the DOSAAF.
He was a two-time Hero of the Soviet Union (May 1, 1943 and July 1, 1944), holder of the Order of Lenin and two-time holder of the Order of the Red Banner .
