Pawel Sergejewitsch Trachanow ( Russian Павел Сергеевич Траханов ; born March 21, 1978 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † September 7, 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl ) was a Russian ice hockey player who played for HK CSKA Moscow , Severstal Cherepovets , HK ZSKA Moscow Balashikha and Atlant Mytishchi played in the Superliga and Continental Hockey League .
Career
Pavel Trachanow began his career as a ice hockey player at HK CSKA Moscow , for whose professional team he was active in the Russian Super League from 1995 to 2005 . Then the defender moved to his league rivals Severstal Tscherepowez , for whom he spent another two years in the top Russian league. In the summer of 2007 he signed a contract with HK MWD Balaschicha , with whom from the 2008/09 season participated in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . In his first KHL season Trachanow scored three goals in 47 games and prepared ten more. The left-shooter spent the 2010/11 season at Atlant Mytishchi before signing a contract with Lokomotive Yaroslavl in May 2011 . On September 7, 2011, he was killed in a plane crash near Yaroslavl .
