Zasavska statistical region (as of 2014)

Zasavska (Slovenian: Zasavska statistična regija ) is a statistical region in Slovenia at NUTS 3 level.

The region intended for statistical purposes was introduced in May 2005. It includes the three municipalities of Hrastnik , Trbovlje and Zagorje ob Savi . It is the smallest of the twelve statistical regions of Slovenia. The total area is 264 km² and the population on January 1, 2014 was 42,983.

In 2015, the Litija municipality was reclassified from the Osrednjeslovenska region to the Zasavska region.
