Posavska
Posavska ('Lower Sava Region'), officially Posavska statistična regija , is a statistical region in Slovenia at NUTS 3 level. The old name was Spodnjeposavska .
The region intended for statistical purposes was introduced in May 2005. It includes the four municipalities of Brežice , Kostanjevica na Krki , Krško and Sevnica . The largest city is Krško. The population on January 1, 2014 was 69,958.
As of January 1, 2015, the name of the statistical region will change to Posavska . The region was enlarged to include the two municipalities of Radeče and Bistrica ob Sotli from the Savinjska statistical region .
