Location of the Obalno-Kraška Statistical Region

Obalno-kraška (Slovenian: Obalno-kraška statistična regija ) is a statistical region in Slovenia at NUTS 3 level.

The region intended for statistical purposes was introduced in May 2005. It comprises the eight municipalities of Ankaran , Divača , Hrpelje-Kozina , Izola , Komen , Koper , Piran and Sežana . The largest city is Koper. The total area is 1,044 km². The population on January 1, 2014 was 112,848.
