Gorenjska (Statistical Region)
Gorenjska ( Slovenian : Gorenjska statistična regija ) (German: Upper Carniola ) is a statistical region in Slovenia at NUTS 3 level .
The region intended for statistical purposes was introduced in May 2005. It comprises a total of 18 municipalities. The largest city is Kranj. On January 1, 2014, 203,938 people lived in the 2,137 km² region.
