Šenčur ( German Sankt Georgen ) is a municipality in the Gorenjska (Upper Carniola) region in Slovenia .
Location and inhabitants
8,521 people live in the total community, which consists of twelve localities. The main town Šenčur alone has 2741 inhabitants and is 402 m above sea level near Kranj . The municipality is located in the central part of the Kranjska ravnina plain . There is also the lake Trbojsko jezero .
