Jugovzhodna Slovenija
Jugovzhodna Slovenija ("Southeast Slovenia"), more precisely Jugovzhodna Slovenija statistična regija is a statistical region in Slovenia at NUTS 3 level.
The region intended for statistical purposes was introduced in May 2005. It includes a total of 21 municipalities. It roughly corresponds to the historical regions Dolenjska (Lower Carniola) and Bela krajina (White Carniola)
The largest city is Novo mesto with 23,300 inhabitants. The total area is 2,675 km². The population on January 1, 2014 was 142,405.
