Slovenia's longest seepage river, the Temenica, flows through Mirna Peč. The river has its second source in the district of Vrhpeč after it seeped into the karst underworld at Dolenje Ponikve . The Temenica then flows on through the Mirna Valley, where it seeps once more at Goriška vas .
