Payama Bolong

The Payama Bolong (the French spelling Payama Bôlon is also used and also Payama Creek ) is a left tributary of the West African Gambia River .

geography

The approximately 15 km long Payama Bolong rises in the Gambian administrative unit West Coast Region and flows in a northerly direction. It crosses a mangrove forest until it flows into the Gambia with a width of about 135 meters .

The addition Bolong , which has many tributaries of the Gambia, means "moving water" or "tributary" in the Mandinka language .
